Human behaviours such as wildlife trafficking, deforestation and plastic pollution all risk endangering animals and their habitats. Unfortunately, there is a universal lack of data on these activities.
At BIT, we are leading the way with governments, non-governmental organisations and other nonprofits to find better ways to collect this critical data and generate evidence on what works to shift behaviour. Our expert team has established behavioural insights units worldwide to reduce the consumption of illegal wildlife products, produced evidence-based toolkits to improve conservation efforts and designed and tested interventions to protect habitats against threats such as wildfire.
