Regulations are meant to protect citizens by shifting behaviour for the collective good. But too often, new rules are implemented and compliance lags, even with traditional enforcement tools.
At BIT, we help our government clients understand how people and institutions think and make decisions to develop behaviourally-informed regulation and enforcement mechanisms. For example, we have designed and evaluated low-cost interventions which increased tax compliance at scale and tested the best ways to implement elements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
