Public health

BIT supports clients around the world to understand how behavioural insights can strengthen public health systems and make healthy choices the default.

Public health is, almost by definition, a behavioural challenge. From obesity to population-wide disease prevention, solutions need to be grounded in a deep understanding of behaviour and evidence of what works in context.

Applied behavioural science can help societies adopt healthier diets, exercise more, reduce tobacco smoking and even shape systems so that healthy choices are the default.

At BIT, our experts have worked with clients around the world across all levels of government. We have helped cities to address childhood obesity, reduced the spread of sexual health misinformation and evaluated the impact of public health campaigns and programmes.
