Well-designed mass transit systems can help solve many transportation challenges, from unsafe roads to unsustainable travel.
Applied behavioural science can enhance infrastructure improvements while encouraging more people to make use of existing public transport options. Our work, delivered by local, specialist teams, has included taking a mixed-methods approach to understanding and proposing practical solutions to fare evasion in a major city, and encouraging commuters to travel to work using a bike-sharing program rather than getting in their cars.
