Adelaida Barrera Daza

Senior Policy Advisor

 

Adelaida is a Senior Advisor in the International Programmes team, where she has spent three years working on more than ten projects, mainly in global health and gender equality. She has applied behavioural science to real-world policy challenges and helped build capacity across governments and international organisations, including UNICEF and GAVI. Since joining BIT, she has contributed to vaccine uptake initiatives in low and middle-income countries, including designing and evaluating behaviourally-informed chatbots that increased vaccination rates in Argentina. Her work encompasses partnerships across more than 15 countries in Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.

Before joining BIT, Adelaida worked on behavioural and cultural policy in Colombia and Latin America, including serving as a legislative aide to Colombian Senator Antanas Mockus. She holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the Hertie School in Berlin, and an MA in Philosophy from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
