Benji is an Associate Advisor in our Local Places and Communities team. His work spans multiple policy areas including child and adult social care, health and safety in the workplace, tackling the spread of COVID-19, building BI expertise in local government and improving gender equality.
Prior to BIT, Benji ran an online cognitive behaviour therapy service in the Scottish Borders and before that he worked as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner for an NHS mental health service in Cumbria. Benji has also spent around three years in the UK Civil Service, where most recently he was a policy advisor in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (as it was known then) working on ethical standards in local government.
Benji holds a MSc in Psychology from the University of St. Andrews and an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Sheffield.
