Chiara is a Senior Research Advisor, acting as a delivery lead for BIT’s new project in partnership with the UAE’s Office of Development Affairs. She is specialised in applying behavioural science to sustainable development, with a focus on climate policy and education.
Before leaving for Abu Dhabi, she worked from BIT’s London Office answering big behavioural science questions globally. For example, she worked with Meta to explore how to best engage users to democratise their platforms, and UNICEF in Jordan to understand how to get more young people into employment.
Prior to BIT, Chiara worked as a researcher and evaluator in the public, private, and third sectors. For instance, she worked with Google and the Guardian Foundation, exploring how to stop the spread of misinformation, and the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office to evaluate a programme to boost mental health in Kenyan refugee camps.
She holds a BSc from the London School of Economics in Social Policy, and an MSc in International Development and Research Methods from Edinburgh University.
