Hannah Burd

Principal Advisor

Hannah has designed, led and executed complex and effective change programmes in her 6+ years at BIT. She has been responsible for BIT’s NHS portfolio and subsequently Programme Director for one of our largest policy programmes – the Gender & Behavioural Insights Programme – that delivered 30 individual behavioural science projects and cutting-edge research findings over three years.

Hannah brings cross-sector policy expertise spanning health, equality, diversity & inclusion, sustainability, public service innovation and national crisis response. She is also a trained HR Professional accredited by the CIPD. Hannah combines practitioner experience with coaching skills to support leaders with an interest in Behavioural Science to apply their learning and improve the impact of their own change programmes.

Previously, Hannah worked in the Department of Health’s Behavioural Insights Team and policy teams at the British Academy and Measure of America. She holds a BA in Geography from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Social Policy and Interventions from the University of Utrecht.
