Dr Inês Barreiros

Senior Advisor

Ines is a Senior Advisor in the Home Affairs and Social Cohesion team, where she works on evaluations and data analysis across a range of policy areas. Some of her recent projects at BIT involved applying behavioural insights to increase vaccine uptake, reduce antibiotics prescription, countering corruption, and promoting literacy skills in young children.

Before joining BIT, Ines completed a PhD in behavioural and cognitive neuroscience at the University of Oxford. Her doctoral thesis focused on how the brain represents and processes information to allow for behavioural flexibility during decision making. Ines holds an MSc in Neurobiology from the University of Coimbra, and a BSc in Genetics and Biotechnology from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro.
