
Peter Tufano
Dean of Said Business School, University of Oxford
Peter is Dean at Oxford’s Said Business School, as well as an active researcher in the field of Household Finance topics. His work examines how to use innovation to support improved financial outcomes for families, including leveraging tax administration to streamline the savings process, building products that combine saving and lottery play, and creating new models of financial entertainment. He co-founded co-founded Commonwealth (buildcommonwealth.org), a US based non-profit that collaborates with consumers, the financial services industry, policy makers, and mission-driven organizations to discover ideas, pilot solutions, and drive innovations to scale to create a stronger and more prosperous society where everyone has financial opportunity.
Before joining Oxford as Dean in 2011, Peter was a Professor and Senior Associate Dean at Harvard Business School for 23 years, where he co-founded the Harvard I-Lab. He received his AB (summa cum laude), MBA (high distinction) and PhD degrees from Harvard. At Oxford, he is championing the approach of embedding business into the broader University.
