Senior Advisor and Lead for Organisational Behaviour, Employment and Labour Markets
Robbie is a Senior Advisor in the Work and Economy team. He leads BIT’s projects that make work better, increase access to quality jobs and prepare individuals and organisations for changes in the labour market. At BIT, he has led projects and trials that aim to improve management practices, increase productivity of teams, improve leadership, enhance the adoption of technology by firms, increase feelings of inclusion in organisations and create better functioning labour markets.
Before joining BIT, Robbie worked at The Boston Consulting Group. His clients were in retail, media, and the public sector. On a long-term secondment from BCG, he served as chief of staff to the B20, the private sector advisory forum for the G20. He has worked for government at local and national levels in Australia and NGOs focused on economic growth and entrepreneurship in emerging markets.
Robbie holds two undergraduate degrees from the University of Melbourne in Economics and Political Science and an MPhil in Economic and Social History (Distinction) from the University of Oxford. At Oxford, his research focused on the impact of severe employment shocks in regional areas and policies needed to drive recovery in the local labour market.
