Tia is a Trainee Clinical Psychologist in the final year of her doctorate, currently on a 6-month placement with the Health and Wellbeing Team at the London BIT office. She has worked on in-depth evidence reviews for young people’s mental health and science-informed healthcare priorities. Tia has also been involved in qualitative projects focusing on evaluating programmes aimed at reducing youth violence.
Tia has completed placements in Liaison Psychiatry, Crisis Assessment and Treatment, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and Adult Learning Disabilities. Previously, she worked as a National KUF Facilitator, delivering trauma-informed training, and as a Clinical Innovations Practitioner, leading research on the “Pets in Practice” therapy animal project. During the pandemic, she contributed as a Clinical Research Assistant, studying the impact of online appointments to enhance accessible care. Tia holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences from UCL.
