The Behavioral Insights Team appoints new US Board Chair and member

NEW YORK, 28 NOVEMBER 2022 — The Behavioral Insights Team (BIT), one of the world’s leading behavioral science consultancies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Cristina Bicchieri as a Board member and Corey Arnez Griffin’s elevation to Board Chair of its US organization.

Professor Bicchieri is a world-renowned expert in the field of social norms and behavioral ethics, Director of the Center for Social Norms and Behavioral Dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Griffin has 20 years of experience in international development, technology, management consulting and government, and serves on the board of many local, national, and international organizations. Griffin was selected to serve as Board Chair after two years of serving as a member. 

BIT is a global leader in using behavioral science research to design services, policies, and interventions that improve people’s lives. BIT was established by the UK government in 2010 and in 2014 became an independent social purpose company. In 2021, BIT became wholly-owned by innovation agency, Nesta.

In 2015, BIT started its North American operations. Today, BIT US works out of offices in New York City and Washington, DC, partnering with federal, state, and local governments as well as multilateral organizations such as the United Nations, philanthropic actors, and research institutes. To date it has worked with over 100 US cities and conducted 150 randomized controlled trials.
