Behaviour change and energy use: behavioural insights team paper

Report 6th Jul 2011

Behaviour Change and Energy Use draws on evidence from behavioural economics and psychology to outline a new approach to enabling people, at home and at work, to reduce their energy consumption and reduce their bills in the process.

Amongst other things, this paper showed how these insights were being used by the UK Government to help departments successfully meet the Prime Minister’s pledge to reduce energy emissions by over 10% in just one year.
