A lack of personlised support systems is among the causes of heightened anxiety for many people with autism, ADHD and mental health conditions. While digital tools for neurodivergent populations are emerging, robust evidence supporting their effectiveness remains limited.
We applied our expertise in evaluation to assess Brain in Hand, a UK digital support service that combines on-demand human support and digital tools. Our evaluation examined its impact on anxiety and health-related quality of life, helping to build the evidence base for digital-based support.
Data from 149 users of Brain in Hand over six months revealed encouraging trends:
These improvements were seen across different groups, suggesting that Brain in Hand has the potential to support a wide range of neurodivergent individuals, particularly those experiencing heightened anxiety and health challenges.
