Nilufer oversees qualitative research methods at BIT UK. She is responsible for quality assurance and ethical review of qualitative projects and for qualitative training and methods innovation. She has over 16 years’ experience leading or contributing to qualitative and mixed methods research and evaluation studies. Prior to joining BIT, Nilufer worked at the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) as the Director of Qualitative Methods. During her time there, much of her research focused on labour market policies, benefits, employment relations and disadvantage and she has over 30 publications from her research. Nilufer is an experienced trainer, she has delivered NatCen training on reporting qualitative data and moderating focus groups. Nilufer has a degree in Sociology and Gender from the University of Warwick.
