Promptable is our student support programme that increases attendance and grade attainment. It works by sending students timely and relevant SMS messages that contain motivational themes and study tips as well as practical information such as exam dates and content relating to subjects they have been taught that week. It also works by harnessing the power of a student’s social network. Students who are on the Promptable programme are able to nominate a study supporter, who are also sent messages that make it easier for them to get involved in helping the student who nominated them.
Promptable is platform that allows us to deliver student support at a larger scale than we have previously been able to; in 2018 Promptable was delivered to over 10,000 students within 80 educational institutions, branching out from delivering it to FE colleges by also working with sixth form colleges and secondary schools.
