Decisions and judgements are affected by cognitive biases. Cognitive biases can affect each stage of the decision making process from how we notice a problem, to our deliberations about fixing it, to our attempts to execute a solution. This course enables participants to use behavioural insights to counter cognitive biases and make better calibrated decisions and judgements, ultimately resulting in better project planning and delivery.
Duration: Typically ½ day
Learning outcomes:
After this course participants will be able to:
- Identify the most common cognitive biases in decision making and describe the impact of these biases on project outcomes
- Make better decisions by applying several team-level debiasing techniques in their day-to-day work
- Describe several structural-level debiasing techniques that can be applied to make better decisions
