Emily Bushby

She ensures that we have the necessary funds to deliver our mission and that the board, CEO and senior management at Nesta and BIT have the financial information they need to make sound decisions.

Before joining the Nesta group, Emily was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at GuarantCo, a publicly funded organisation aiming to alleviate poverty by supporting the financing of infrastructure projects in Africa and Asia. Prior to this, she was the Academic Finance Director for University College London, she also led the finance team of a medical related charity and worked in green energy investing at a FTSE100 business.

Emily trained as a Chartered Accountant with PwC, having graduated from Exeter University with a BSc in Psychology.
