The Behavioral Insights Team appoints three new Non-Executive Directors to its US Board

NEW YORK, October 20th, 2020 — The Behavioral Insights Team (BIT) is very pleased to announce the appointments of April Chou, Corey Arnez Griffin and Cass Sunstein as Non-Executive Directors of the Board of its US organization.

Chou, Griffin and Sunstein, all internationally respected and highly accomplished in their fields, were invited to join following an extensive search for new external Board members to provide oversight and guidance to BIT’s rapidly growing operations in the United States.

BIT is one of the world’s leading behavioral science organizations, working around the world to improve people’s lives. BIT was established by the UK government in 2010 and in 2014 became an independent social purpose company, co-owned by the Cabinet Office, innovation charity Nesta, and BIT employees.

BIT US Board

In 2015, BIT started its North American operations. Today BIT US works out of offices in New York City and Washington, DC with local, federal and state agencies, multilateral organizations like the United Nations, philanthropic actors and research institutes. To date it has worked with over 100 US cities and conducted 150 randomized controlled trials.
