Dr Jessica Barnes
Jessica is a Senior Advisor currently working across a range of policy areas. She works with BIT’s Manchester team across various projects, is part of BIT’s team working on gender equality, and is also currently on part-time secondment to the National Citizen Service Trust in London to help the organisation to build their internal research and evaluation capacity.
Prior to joining BIT, Jessica was a post-doctoral researcher at the Medical Research Council Cognition & Brain Sciences Unit in Cambridge, where she investigated the impact of cognitive training on working memory. She has a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Queensland, Australia, with her doctoral thesis examining the neural mechanisms of cognitive control.
