Dr Jessica Barnes
Jessica is a Senior Advisor working primarily on equality and diversity. She is a member of the Gender and Behavioural Insights (GABI) team and is responsible for high-level thinking on how behavioural science, equality/diversity research and broader sociological theory can be combined and practically applied. She has also been on part-time secondment to the National Citizen Service Trust since July 2017 to help the organisation build their internal research and evaluation capacity. Prior to joining BIT, Jessica was a post-doctoral researcher at the Medical Research Council Cognition & Brain Sciences Unit in Cambridge, where she investigated the impact of cognitive training on working memory. She has a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Queensland, Australia.
