Edward Flahavan

Principal Advisor, Home Affairs and Security

Ed is a Principal Advisor in our Home Affairs and Security team. His role involves managing research projects with central government departments and other partners. Since joining BIT in 2016 he has held a number of roles including working as Policy Advisory to BIT’s CEO, David Halpern along with a secondment to the Cabinet Office’s Economic and Domestic Affairs Secretariat and as a researcher in BIT’s Health team.

Before joining BIT, Ed worked as a macroeconomic analyst at a financial research firm and in the consumer goods industry. Ed holds an MSc in Behavioural and Economic Science from the University of Warwick and a BA in Philosophy, Politics, Economics and Sociology from Trinity College Dublin.
