Dr Bowen J Fung

Bowen is a Senior Research Advisor in our Sydney office. His work focuses on public health, sustainability and the effective use of data to gain new insights. Bowen completed a PhD in cognitive science at the University of Melbourne. His thesis looked at how time perception is incorporated into different decision-making processes.

Before joining the team, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the California Institute of Technology, where he used computational brain imaging approaches to model the emotions of fear, anxiety, and frustration in healthy humans, as well as in patients with brain lesions. He has also previously worked to develop machine learning methods to understand biomedical and neural data, as well as data from online learning platforms.
