Using behavioural insights to increase the take up of Pension Credit in Northern Ireland

This project details the findings of a research study into pensioners not claiming Pension Credit in Northern Ireland. It was undertaken as part of the Department for Communities’ Economic and Social Research Programme 2021/22. In this project the Department commissioned the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) to explore why people in Northern Ireland do not claim Pension Credit, and to design and test interventions to increase its uptake in Northern Ireland.
